Jews You Should Know

Jan 1, 2018

ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Rabbi Cary Friedman is one of the most unique and interesting rabbinic personalities in the Jewish world today. An electrical engineer by training, Rabbi Friedman found his calling as a Jewish outreach professional and teacher of Torah.

A lifelong Batman aficionado and memorabilia collector, he parlayed his hobby into a successful Jewish outreach career at Duke University and a book, "Lessons from the Batcave."

He later become a more traditional congregational rabbi, but soon after found himself as a "spiritual trainer" for the FBI and eventually other law enforcement agencies. His book "Spiritual Survival for Law Enforcement" has become a must-read in the law enforcement community, and a template for courses taught in Quantico and elsewhere.

A prolific author, Torah teacher and distiller of ancient ideas into modern language, Rabbi Friedman has a story as rich and varied as his own passions and interests.
